Getting There

Day 1

Dar es Salaam → Mikumi National Park (Game Drive)

Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam (around 5:00–6:00 am).

Drive to Mikumi National Park (approximately 5–6 hours), passing through scenic countryside and small towns.

Upon arrival, enjoy a half-day game drive inside Mikumi National Park. The open savannahs around the Mkata floodplain offer excellent wildlife viewing, often compared to the Serengeti plains.

Picnic lunch inside the park

In the late afternoon, exit the park and transfer to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Proceed for a morning game drive, the best time to spot predators and active wildlife.

After the game drive, enjoy brunch or lunch, then begin the return journey to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
