Getting There

This safari starts and ends in Dar es Salaam.
Clients fly to Kigoma, followed by a boat transfer to Gombe Stream National Park. Flights are operated by domestic airlines such as Auric Air and Coastal Aviation. This itinerary is ideal as a short standalone safari or combined with Zanzibar beach holidays.

Day 1

Fly to Kigoma & Transfer to Gombe

Depart from Dar es Salaam on a scheduled flight to Kigoma in western Tanzania.

Upon arrival, transfer by boat along the shores of Lake Tanganyika to Gombe Stream National Park.

After breakfast, enter the forest with park guides to track chimpanzees.

In the afternoon, you may visit Kakombe Waterfall or relax by the lake.
