3 Days Fly-In Safari to Nyerere on Selous River Camp

The journey starts with a direct flight from Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve, taking approximately one hour. You will be greeted at the airstrip by a Selous River Camp guide upon arrival.

Selous Game Reserve boasts a rich diversity of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and various bird species. The reserve is also home to the rare African hunting dog, providing unique safari encounters.

Yes, the itinerary includes an early morning walking safari, allowing you to explore the bush and riverbank on foot. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with the local environment and witness the smaller wonders of the wilderness.

Selous River Camp provides a choice of accommodation, including comfortable “mudhut” rooms with en-suite bathrooms and tents for budget-minded travelers. Both options offer beautiful views of the Rufiji River, providing an authentic and intimate safari experience.

The package includes accommodation and meals as per the itinerary, 1.5 liters of mineral water per person/day, air flight to Selous Game Reserve and back to Dar es Salaam, services of a professional safari guide, all wildlife reserve entry fees, and conservation fees.
