Londorossi Gate → Mti Mkubwa Camp

Elevation: 2,100m → 2,650m
Distance: 6 km
Hiking Time: 3–4 hours
Zone: Rainforest

Start your trek through lush rainforest with chances to spot colobus monkeys and exotic birds.
Gentle ascent to Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Day 02 :

Mti Mkubwa → Shira 1 Camp

Elevation: 2,650m → 3,500m

The trail rises steeply out of the forest into the moorland zone with expanding views of Shira Ridge and Kibo Peak.

Light acclimatization walk in the afternoon (optional).

Day 04 :

Shira 2 → Lava Tower → Barranco Camp

SUMMIT – Barafu → Uhuru Peak → Mweka Camp

Start your ascent at midnight under the stars.
Reach Stella Point at sunrise, then continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.

After photos and celebrations, descend via Mweka Trail to Mweka Camp.

Day 08 :

Mweka Camp → Mweka Gate → Arusha

Final descent through lush rainforest.
